The Audi

Well, so I've had the Audi A4 Quattro for a month or so now - what do I think of it? I didn't really realise the difference the 4WD Quattro system would have made to the driving experience. It has to be said that the 2.0L TDi works hard and manages to produce 170 bhp. (Which isn't bad for an oil burner!)
With the power distributed 60/40 between the rear and front axles, the handling is safe and predictable.
Having had to deal with 163 bhp delivered through the front axle of my Volvo V50 (below) the bias towards the rear is really noticable.
I go round bends at the same speed as the Volvo expecting the usual understeer. But all the Audi does is grunt a bit more and puts it's back end more firmly onto the tarmac. Very civilised!
And what do you think of these new blue lights. Being a car I use for my own private use, discretion was the name of the game. However, to be seen at junctions by oncoming traffic was a top priority. The solution?
The superb techician at our workshops has found these ultra bright, ultra small (just 2mm accross) LEDs that are mounted just behind the front fog lights. Mounted in a triangle formation they're pretty effective!!
They say these A4s are pretty popular!! Just look at my neighbour's choice of car!!!
