Glen Miller's "In the Mood"

I don't know about you, but when I think of Glenn Miller's Big Band.....Jazz never really springs to mind. Big Band was very structured, almost formal. No room for improvisation

But I suppose, if you think about it, jazz was a natural progression from the Big Band era - and this clip clearly shows it. Pure genius!

From a rare appearance of the Glenn Miller Orchestra in a film (Sun Valley Serenade), is this rendition of "In the Mood" - clearly showing jazz tendencies.
