Air France plane missing over Atlantic

The BBC are reporting that an Air France plane with more than 200 people on board is missing over the Atlantic, on its way to Paris.

At the time of this blog, it's an hour and a quarter overdue. Early suggestions were a possible problem with its transponder - but this is increasingly unlikely.

Let's hope the outcome isn't what everyone is dreading.
